THE ROCK — A FOUNDATION THAT NEVER FAILS
THE ROCK — A FOUNDATION THAT NEVER FAILS
When life’s storms come—and they will—what are you standing on?
This song is built entirely from the Word of God. Every lyric is Scripture. And every Scripture points to one truth:
You need a solid foundation.
Jesus says in Matthew 7:24-27 that there are only two kinds of people—those who build on the rock, and those who build on sand. The storms hit both houses. But the one built on the rock stood strong. The one built on sand crashed hard.
In today’s world, we see people building on shaky things—money, relationships, reputation, politics, even self-help philosophies. But when the rain comes down, the floodwaters rise, and the wind beats on their life—it all collapses.
But Jesus?
He’s the Rock that never moves.
He’s the only foundation worth building your life on.
It doesn’t matter who laid the foundation—Paul, Peter, pastors, parents—if it’s not Christ, it’s unstable.
He’s not just a rock you hide behind.
He’s the cornerstone of everything solid, pure, and lasting. (Ephesians 2:20)
He’s the refuge, the fortress, the shield, and the stronghold. (Psalm 18:2)
He’s the spiritual Rock that followed God’s people through the wilderness—and He’s still with you now. (1 Corinthians 10:4)
So what does it mean to build your life on Jesus?
It means don’t just hear the Word—do it.
Obey Him. Trust Him. Let His truth shape your decisions.
Let His grace hold you up when you feel like falling.
Let His Word be the foundation under your feet.
The rain is going to come.
But when your life is built on Christ, you won’t collapse.
You’ll stand.
You’ll survive.
You’ll thrive.
Because you’re planted on the Rock.
